Clean Cornwall believe in a pretty simple idea: if people were encouraged to notice litter more so they can see the scale of the problem and if they heard about all the ways local people across Cornwall are trying to protect the places that matter to them from the damage of litter – then they’re much less likely to drop it.
Because of this, their campaigns seek to raise public awareness and concern about the damaging effects litter and other forms of waste can have on our county, and encourage people to think about the role they can play to help stop litter.
You can help by joining in with existing community run litter picks in your area or by organising your own. If you are organising your own we can help by providing you with equipment, advice and taking the rubbish away afterwards.
Up and coming registered picks can be found on the Clean Cornwall website. There may also be groups organising more adhoc activities in your local area. The easiest way to find out is by using the map on the Clean Cornwall homepage to see who might be planning something near to you.
